Newtown, PA – Newborn Photographer
One of the most asked questions from potential clients is “When is the best time to book my newborn session?”. Honestly, it’s never too soon to book your session, but the best time is early in the second trimester. This gives us enough time to get your due date on my calendar, as well as add on the option of a maternity session. My calendar tends to book months in advance.
As a Philadelphia newborn photographer, I often get emails from moms who just had their baby and last minute, decided they want to book a session. It breaks my heart to have to turn away these families who want to commemorate the birth of their baby. This is the importance of reaching out early in the second trimester. Once you book your session, you can then cross that off of your to do list as your due date is secure on my calendar.
When booking your newborn session, I book according to due date. I only take a limited amount of newborn sessions per month to allow me flexibility. Some babies are born early, some are born late, and few are born right on time. Because of this reason we don’t pick a session date or time until your sweet baby arrives!
Once he/she is born, we then decide on the actual session date. I typically wait until the baby is 2-3 weeks old. This tends to be my sweet spot for scheduling a newborn. I have also photographed babies who were 4-5 weeks old and this too is OK, they just may be a little more alert then the 2-3 week period.
If you were curious about when to book newborn photography and have not yet booked your session, now is the time to reach out! I would love to chat more about the details and my stress-free newborn experience!
