You’ve scheduled your newborn session and can not wait to get professional portraits of you newest addition. Then the thought crosses your mind, what if you baby does not sleep or is fussy?
Mama’s, please don’t let this be a worry in your mind! I have photographed hundreds of babies. Being that this is my specialty, I have spent years working with the littlest of babies and even my own. Having a nursing background coupled with my training as a newborn photographer, I know the best kept secrets to help keep your baby calm and happy. Part of my method, is letting baby take the lead.
As a Newtown Newborn Photographer, your baby is my ultimate priority and I follow his or her cues very carefully. The safety and comfort of your baby always comes before everything else. In addition to following your baby’s cues, I also make sure the environment (my studio or your home) is appropriately suited for the utmost comfort of you baby. I have been known to heat my studio above what we typically heat our homes. I do this just to make sure babies are extra comfortable!!
If, even with all my tricks, baby still doesn’t want to sleep, there is still no need to worry.
I don’t necessarily need a sleepy baby, but I need a content baby. If he/she decides she wants to be awake for our session, I will pivot my work flow to follow your baby’s lead and we will still get beautiful images of your newborn baby! I promise!
