5 Exciting Fall Activities In Philadelphia For Your Family

Fall is a season that deserves to be celebrated to its fullest! We all have those special autumn traditions whether it’s digging out the spooky mantle decorations the first week of September or driving around the roads blasting Red (Taylor’s Version, of course!). If you think it’s time to start a new tradition with your family, I would love to help you out! As a Philadelphia family photographer, I adore working with parents so they can make memories through every season. Here is my list of favorite fall activities in Philadelphia.

My Family’s Favorite Fall Activities In Philadelphia To Enjoy This Season

Scarecrows in the Village | Peddler’s Village

Routes 202 & 263, Lahaska, Bucks County, Pennsylvania 18931

For six weeks each fall, Peddler’s Village breaks out Scarecrows in the Village, where they set up 200 scarecrows along the brick path. All the scarecrows have been crafted by Philly residents, and you are going to find lots of city pride throughout! This fall activity crowns Philadelphia winners in several different categories once the season wraps up.

Solebury Orchards

3325 Creamery Road, New Hope, Pennsylvania 18938

I am a firm believer that fall in Philadelphia doesn’t really start until you’ve done some apple-picking activities. With Solebury Orchards, you’ll have the perfect way to kick off the season! They offer pick-your-own orchards where you can find the freshest apples that you can eat in the field or save for some baked goods. Throughout the summer season, they also offer other crops like peaches and blueberries.

Linvilla Orchards

137 W Knowlton Road, Media, Pennsylvania 19063

Linvilla Orchards hosts a yearly Pumpkinland loaded with fall activities that are guaranteed fun for all ages in Philadelphia! Throughout this season, you can find your own pumpkins, see some adorable barnyard animals, and go for a hayride. While you are there, you can check out other permanent fixtures, including indoor mini golf, the expansive garden center, and the farm market.

Maple Acres Farm

2656 Narcissa Road, Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania 19462

Maple Acres Farm is always a fantastic fall activity for your Philadelphia family! Out here, they keep traditions alive, whether they are leading tractor rides or growing the freshest produce around. They also host regular events, including goat yoga! While you are there, you can see the barnyard animals and choose from several you-pick crops, including flowers and pumpkins.

Shady Brook Farm

931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley, Pennsylvania 19067

There’s a reason why Shady Brook Farm has become one of the most popular destinations for families in the area! For over 75 years, this farm has offered a giant corn maze where you can come and get lost with the people you love. They also have tons of other activities, including wagon rides, pumpkin fests, spider web crawls, and a barn of horror. While you are there, be sure to check out the live music!
