Maternity sessions are definitely one of my favorite to photograph. All the miracles that take place during pregnancy never cease to amaze me. Looking back, I regret not hiring a photographer to take my own maternity portraits. It is such a special and miraculous time in your life, so why not document it in a beautiful way to pass down to you kids. Bonus – You have a great excuse to pamper yourself (hair, nails, makeup). My kids always love to look back at pictures of me when I was pregnant with them.
This beautiful mama is pregnant with baby #2. She chose to borrow a gown from my studio wardrobe and she looked absolutely stunning. Driving to the session, our weather forecast changed and storms were rolling in. Mama drove from two hours away so I was so nervous we weren’t going to be able to photograph her session due to the storms. Luckily, we both arrived early and got right to it. The storm brought a beautiful sky right before the rain began. As we were getting ready to wrap up, the sky opened up and the rain started falling but we got the most gorgeous photos out of the pre-stormy sky!! Check out some images from her session…
