When to Book Your Maternity Photoshoot in Philadelphia!

You are officially pregnant (congrats!). Between registering for your baby shower and dreaming of decorating your nursery, you have begun to think about maternity portraits. The thought crossed your mind, but you’re unsure when the best time is for your maternity photoshoot in Philadelphia or even if they are for you.

Let me assure you that maternity portraits are a keepsake you will forever treasure. As a Philadelphia maternity photographer, I can promise you that these pictures will be the one item on your list that will only grow in value over time! I hear repeatedly from moms who regret not booking maternity photos for their first babies. They often say they initially felt like it wasn’t for them until after their pregnancy when they yearned for those preserved moments. This is why I always set up a time to chat with expecting moms to hear more about you, your style, and what exactly (if anything) you envision.

About My Maternity Photoshoots in Philadelphia

I want these portraits to embody who you are and your style. Whether you want these portraits to be more casual with light-washed jeans and a white button-down open blouse or elegant with tulle and frill, we will create a session that speaks to you and captures this moment of your parenthood journey! And I promise to keep the session fun and stress-free, allowing you to feel like a natural-born model in front of the camera!

One of the best parts of scheduling a Maternity Session with me is my curated studio wardrobe. Whether we hold your session in the studio or outside, you can borrow from my wide selection of high-end dresses. I offer everything from the chic little black dress to white blouses, flowy floral maxis, and even tulle elegant dresses. This saves you the hassle of endlessly shopping or spending money on a dress you may only wear once. What’s not to love about that?!

When is the Best Time to Book a Maternity Photoshoot in Philadelphia?

So now that you have learned more about my sessions and decided maternity portraits are for you, you may be wondering when is the best time to book these. Maternity sessions are typically held when the mom is 28-32 weeks pregnant. Why this time frame? As a Philadelphia Maternity photographer, I have found this is the best time window. Your bump has popped perfectly during this time, and you still have the energy and glow before you enter those last few weeks.

While I generally shoot sessions at 28-32 weeks, it is best to book your maternity portraits months before your actual session date. In fact, I recommend reaching out as you enter the second trimester. Send me a message here, and we can then chat more and create a session that is ideally suited for you.

Whether you are going for a modern chic or romantic elegance, an intimate studio session, or a candid outdoor session, I am here to help with every step! Reach out today, and I would LOVE to share more!
