No matter what’s happening in your world right now, there’s almost always something you can celebrate! Maybe your child nailed the test they were worried about, or maybe you finally got to that task that you’ve been putting off for months. Regardless of the reason, you should have a go-to spot when you want to acknowledge all the little victories! As a Bucks County family photographer, I adore getting to chat with parents about their favorite places anytime they need to celebrate. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, here are some favorite spots for ice cream in Bucks County!
Treat The Family With Some Delicious Ice Cream In Bucks County
Owowcow Creamery
4105 Durham Road, Ottsville, Pennsylvania 18942
Since the very beginning, Owowcow Creamery has been a place where you can go to support locals. The creator, John Fezzuglio, opened up the shop with the plan to boost agriculture around the area. Now, fifteen years later, that commitment continues to show through! This ice cream shop goes out of their way to find local and organic dairy products as well as cage-free eggs. So, while you’re at the OG Ottsville shop trying flavors like Cookie Monstah, Blueberry Lemon, or Cookies & Cream, just know that you are giving back to the farmers who help keep this county going!
Nina’s Waffles & Ice Cream
30 E State Street, Doylestown, Pennsylvania 18901
Whether you are in the shop or visiting their food truck, Nina’s Waffles & Ice Cream has the perfect treat for you. This darling shop has five locations, so you can enjoy some of the best flavors around. They offer artisanal flavors, including Cookies and Cream, Salted Caramel, and Mint Chocolate Chip. While their ice cream might bring you here in the first place, their waffles are going to keep you coming back. The Liege-style treats are made with the shop’s own recipe. You can enjoy them separately, or you can pair the waffles and ice cream together for the perfect summer dessert!
The Salt Box
5840 Easton Road, Doylestown, Pennsylvania 18902
The Salt Box is a must-visit for all the serious foodies around Bucks County. The ice cream shop started in 1999 as a bakery in Philly. Their goal was to create a cafe-style shop where you could come in and try out their signature flavors. Eventually, they decided to pair the salty with the sweet, resulting in some of the best ice cream around. At the Doylestown Shop, you can pair their regular pretzels with ice cream flavors like Salted Caramel, Devils Chocolate, Brown Butter Almond, and Salty Pecan Bourbon. This cafe also offers sweet pretzels as well as breakfast sammies served on their pretzel buns!
