As a Newtown PA Newborn Photographer based in the suburbs, many of my clients come from either Center city or a suburb just outside of it. I do, however, have clients that travel greater than an hour to get to me. That by far is one of the biggest compliments I can receive and is truly an honor.
When I do have clients traveling to me, I often get asked if the baby sleeping in the car will cause a wide-awake baby for the session. Over the years of being a Newtown pa newborn photographer, I have not found this to be true. Many things can cause an awake baby, but a long car ride is usually not what does it. In fact, it’s usually the long car ride that puts them into a deep slumber.
One nice element to my newborn style being baby-led posing is that even if your baby arrives awake and alert, that is OK. I will swaddle him/her so that he/she feels cozy and safe and usually with time and maybe a feed, off to dreamland they go. Prior to a newborn session, I send parents a prep guide. My goal is for babies to be content while they are with me. This ensures a smooth session. Even if they are not asleep, but are content, that is A – OK in my book.
Meet precious Miss A. She came to me from over 1.5 hours away and was such a doll baby. She spent some of her time with me awake and some asleep. Miss A was on the older side of the newborn period (close to 5 weeks). Even with that, we still captured such beautiful newborn memories. I enjoyed spending my time with her and her beautiful parents in the studio. Mom was pampered by Nancy from Nancy Caroline Beauty and chose this lovely dress from my curated studio wardrobe.
