Over the 7 years I have been photographing newborns and families, some of my most favorite images are of Moms and their babies. Maybe it’s because I am a Mom myself and I know how fleeting those moments; My heart definitely has a soft spot for Mom & Baby portraits.
This got me thinking and I decided to begin to offer Motherhood Sessions. These sessions consist of just Mom and her babies/children. We all know, babies don’t keep, they grow right before our eyes. Their tiny hands gripped around our fingers, their little bodies snuggled in our laps or cradled in our arms quickly transition as they grow. My hope is that these portraits serve to preserve those moments in time. To look back and remember how it felt to have our arms wrapped around our sweet babies. Pictures like this are not just heartfelt, they’re timeless.
Plus, how often are Moms actually in the pictures? I’m definitely guilty of that one! These sessions give you an opportunity to get in front of the camera rather than behind it, something we all struggle with! During a Motherhood Session, you’re given the option to select a dress from my curated studio wardrobe. Hair & makeup is also an option. Moms, these sessions are about you and FOR you! I am so excited to offer these and hope I see some of you beautiful Mamas be front and center in your images!

I will cherish these forever!” This affirmed my reasoning behind these sessions – to create and freeze beautiful moments between a Mom and her babies!
