Springtime is the start of my outdoor family photography season. Spring, Summer, & Fall all offer gorgeous backdrops for family photos. I shoot most of my family sessions during the golden hour – usually about an hour or so before the sunset (or after sunrise if you are a morning person!). Those two times of day, in my opinion, are truly the best for photographing outdoors. No harsh light, no heavy shadows, and no squinting because of the sun! I truly love shooting family sessions. My focus during a family photography session is on the connection and love amongst your family. Capturing the laughter and joy on a child’s face as the are lifted in the air by their Dad or twirled around by Mom is simply the best. Some of my favorite images are where you can look at the picture and hear the laughter. Those palpable emotions caught on camera are the reason why I love photographing families so much!
